AWS Lightsail에서 크레딧 사용가능
Github Education에서 Student Developer Pack을 들어가면 다양한 학생용 툴 또는 보너스를 받을 수 있는데요(학생용 이메일이 필요함), 이 리스트에서 가상 서버 (VPS)를 제공하는 업체가 아마존과 디지탈오션이 있는데, 작년까지만 해도 아마존은 제공되는 크레딧을 Lightsail에 사용할 수 없어 상대적으로 비싼 EC2를 사용해야 했고, 디지탈오션은 $50의 크레딧을 주지만, 국내에서 제일 가까운 서버가 싱가포르이기에 실 사용하기에 너무 느리다는 문제점이 있었습니다.
그런데 언제부터인지 모르겠지만, 어제 확인한 결과로 다음과 같은 서비스들을 AWS 크레딧으로 이용가능하다고 확인할 수 있었습니다. (크레딧 페이지에서 See complete list을 누름)

목록에 아마존 라이트세일이 들어가 있어서 정말로 크레딧으로 결제가 되는지 의문이 생겨서 고객센터에 문의해 봤는데, 이런 답장을 받았습니다.

어제 교육 크레딧을 받으니(기존 AWS 계정에 크레딧만 발급 받음), $150을 19년 12월 31일까지 사용할 수 있는 것으로 등록되었습니다. 라이트세일 최저요금이 월 $3.5니, 대략 세대 정도를 1년 반 사용할 수 있고, 한 대만 사용한다면 메모리를 2GB주는 $10짜리 플랜을 사용할 수 있네요.
